Point of Sale Program

The School Lunch Program has implemented a POS Debit Card system at your child’s school (currently only at the Sargent, Franklin, Middle and High Schools). This system eliminates the need to give your child school lunch money on a daily basis. Rather, you would send in a check payable to the North Andover School Lunch Program for any denomination you choose. A debit account would than be established for your child and the lunch amount will be deducted from the balance. You will receive a monthly statement detailing the spending and the remaining balance. You will need to ensure that the account is sufficiently funded at all times. Upon your request, we can also include with your statement the actual meals that your child purchased (i.e. Joe Smith, September 26, 2004 purchased Tossed Salad with Yogurt, Pita Bread, Apple, and Milk). This report will help you to discuss healthy meal options with your child. This is an optional program, you may still send money with your child on a daily basis if you wish.

Your Steps:

1. Fill out the form and a) return it to your child’s school lunch office or b) mail to: North Andover School Lunch Program, 430 Osgood Street, North Andover, MA 01845 Attention: POS System. Include a check with the initial amount to put on the account. Statements will be emailed to you monthly with an account update. Please allow three days for your debit account to be established. You will receive an email as to when the account is available for debit purchases. In the interim, you must still send money for lunches with your child.
2. A suggested initial amount to deposit is $150. You can replenish at any time. You will be notified when the balance drops to $10, whether by email or by direct mail (if you have not provided us with an email address).
